  Purpose of Data Collection:	Hospital statistics - diagnostic data of the hospital patients provides annual data on the services rendered by the hospitals.
  Legal Base:	Regulation on the federal statistic of hospitals (Krankenhausstatistik–Verordung – KHStatV) in conjunction with the Federal Statistics Law (BStatG). The basis for the collection of the diagnostic data is the information on § 3 no. 14 KHStatV. For the survey it exists a duty on disclosure in pursuance with § 6 KHStatV in conjunction with § 15 BStatG.   Rheinland-Pfalz: 1 Krankenhaus mit rund 4.700 Patienten;
  Sachsen-Anhalt: 1 Krankenhaus mit rund 2.000 Patienten

• 10 Mar 2011:
  The data for 2009 was revised.


• 12 Feb 2012:
  For the year 2010 the data for the age-groups "Under 18 years" and "18 years and older" for the place of treatment "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" including the corresponding sums, as well as the places of residence "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" and "Schleswig-Holstein" including the corresponding sums, was revised.


• 24 Jan 2014:
  The data for the age-groups "Under 18 years" and "18 years and older" was removed, because their calculation for all years (starting from 2009) was incorrect.

• The table was extended by the year 2023 on 07 Nov 2024.
  Information for a new reporting period will be added as soon as it is available.
